What is Pete the Popcorn?
Pete the Popcorn is a corny story about popping up! Pete is a little popcorn kernel struggling with growing up, like all kernels his age. He wants to stand out from the other kids, but doesn't know how. And he's worried that he might not get popped! His best friend Patty, along with a school lesson from Professor Popcorn at Popcorn Prep, teach Pete that he can and will pop up to be exactly what he is supposed to be. This colorfully illustrated book is PERFECT for children aged 4-8. Look for Pete's authors at schools and gourmet popcorn shop all over the country--- so you can get your book signed!


Why should you care?
Taking a stance against bullying, Mr. Rokicki and co-author Joe Kelley, wrote the story of Pete the Popcorn, a kernel fearful of what the future holds. Pete's encouraging friend Patty lets him know that whatever he turns out to be, he'll be perfect.


"We wanted to come up with a story for smaller kids about encouraging each other and not tearing each other down," Mr. Rokicki said. "Because we all grow up to be something different. Different sizes, shapes, color, and personalities.

Pete came to visit in Cleveland!

This week has been so fun! The authors of Pete the Popcorn, Nick Rokicki and Joe Kelley made a trip to Cleveland to meet up at Campbell's Sweets Factory. Shop owner, Jeff Campbell was incredibly nice and you can look forward to seeing Pete there again a BOOK SIGNING and Meet-n-Greet on Saturday, March 17th from 9AM - 1PM!

Pete got to see all the different types of popcorn he can pop up to be!

I know I've been posting a lot about Pete the Popcorn, BUT I just finished the book and it is set to launch next month on Leap Day!
